Bible Gateway's Verse Of The Day
“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” -Hebrews 1:3

Christmas Poem: "As A Baby Jesus Came"
Many Blessings my Brothers and Sisters !!! Here is another christmas poem I found by M.S.Lowndes.You can find more christian poems for all occassions on her website http://www.heavensinspirations.com/.
Please remember Jesus is the reason for the season.
As A Baby Jesus Came
As a baby Jesus came
From His home above
He left His throne and who He was
To teach us how to love
As a baby Jesus came
Wrapped in swaddling cloth
Willingly took on humanity
Though He was one with God
As a baby Jesus came
To one day grow to be
The saviour of the human race
People like you and me
As a baby Jesus came
As God’s eternal light
That will never be extinguished
But forever shine out bright
As a baby Jesus came
The hope of eternal life
Reconciling us back to God
Giving meaning to our lives
As a man Jesus died
His blood poured out for all
Cleansing and forgiving us
For to this He was called
We thank Him that He came a babe
And grew to be a man
And for His sacrificial love
His nailed scarred feet and hands
Through it all we can live on
With Jesus Christ our Lord
The babe that came that first Christmas
Is what we thank Him for

Monday Poem: "Hymn for the Nativity"
God Bless my Brothers and Sisters!!! It's Monday Poem Day!
Here is a poem describing the Nativity.Please enjoy and share.
Hymn for the Nativity
Happy night and happy silence downward softly stealing,
Softly stealing over land and sea,
Stars from golden censors swing a silent eager feeling
Down on Judah, down on Galilee;
And all the wistful air, and earth, and sky,
Listened, listened for the gladness of a cry.
Holy night, a sudden flash of light its way is winging:
Angels, angels, all above, around;
Hark, the angel voices, hark, the angel voices singing;
And the sheep are lying on the ground.
Lo, all the wistful air, and earth, and sky,
Listen, listen to the gladness of the cry.
Happy night at Bethlehem; soft little hands are feeling,
Feeling in the manger with the kine:
Little hands, and eyelids closed in sleep, while angels kneeling,
Mary mother, hymn the Babe Divine.
Lo, all the wistful air, and earth, and sky,
Listen, listen to the gladness of the cry.
Wide, as if the light were music, flashes adoration:
"Glory be to God, nor ever cease,"
All the silence thrills, and speeds the message of salvation:
"Peace on earth, good-will to men of peace."
Lo, all the wistful air, and earth, and sky,
Listen, listen to the gladness of the cry.
Holy night, thy solemn silence evermore enfoldeth
Angels songs and peace from God on high:
Holy night, thy watcher still with faithful eye beholdeth
Wings that wave, and angel glory nigh,
Lo, hushed is strife in air, and earth, and sky,
Still thy watchers hear the gladness of the cry.
Praise Him, ye who watch the night, the silent night of ages:
Praise Him, shepherds, praise the Holy Child;
Praise Him, ye who hear the light, O praise Him, all ye sages;
Praise Him, children, praise Him meek and mild.
Lo, peace on Earth, glory to God on high,
Listen, listen to the gladness of the cry.

Monday Poem: "The Three Kings" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
God Bless All!!!!!!
Christmas is rapidly approaching! Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. Here is a beautiful poem about christmas. Please enjoy and share. God bless.
Three Kings came riding from far away,
Melchior and Gaspar and Baltasar;
Three Wise Men out of the East were they,
And they traveled by night and they slept by day,
For their guide was a beautiful, wonderful star.
The star was so beautiful, large and clear,
That all the other stars of the sky
Became a white mist in the atmosphere;
And by this they knew that the coming was near
Of the Prince foretold in the prophecy.
Three caskets they bore on their saddle-bows,
Three caskets of gold with golden keys;
Their robes were of crimson silk, with rows
Of bells and pomegranates and furbelows,
Their turbans like blossoming almond-trees.
And so the Three Kings rode into the West,
Through the dusk of night over hill and dell,
And sometimes they nodded with beard on breast,
And sometimes talked, as they paused to rest,
With the people they met at some wayside well.
"Of the child that is born," said Baltasar,
"Good people, I pray you, tell us the news;
For we in the East have seen his star,
And have ridden fast, and have ridden far,
To find and worship the King of the Jews."
And the people answered, "You ask in vain;
We know of no king but Herod the Great!"
They thought the Wise Men were men insane,
As they spurred their horses across the plain
Like riders in haste who cannot wait.
And when they came to Jerusalem,
Herod the Great, who had heard this thing,
Sent for the Wise Men and questioned them;
And said, "Go down unto Bethlehem,
And bring me tidings of this new king."
So they rode away, and the star stood still,
The only one in the gray of morn;
Yes, it stopped, it stood still of its own free will,
Right over Bethlehem on the hill,
The city of David where Christ was born.
And the Three Kings rode through the gate and the guard,
Through the silent street, till their horses turned
And neighed as they entered the great inn-yard;
But the windows were closed, and the doors were barred,
And only a light in the stable burned.
And cradled there in the scented hay,
In the air made sweet by the breath of kine,
The little child in the manger lay,
The Child that would be King one day
Of a kingdom not human, but divine.
His mother, Mary of Nazareth,
Sat watching beside his place of rest,
Watching the even flow of his breath,
For the joy of life and the terror of death
Were mingled together in her breast.
They laid their offerings at his feet:
The gold was their tribute to a King;
The frankincense, with its odor sweet,
Was for the Priest, the Paraclete;
The myrrh for the body's burying.
And the mother wondered and bowed her head,
And sat as still as a statue of stone;
Her heart was troubled yet comforted,
Remembering what the angel had said
Of an endless reign and of David's throne.
Then the Kings rode out of the city gate,
With a clatter of hoofs in proud array;
But they went not back to Herod the Great,
For they knew his malice and feared his hate,
And returned to their homes by another way.

Scripture: Isaiah 43: 2-5a (NLT)
2.) When you pass through the waters,
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze,
3.) For I am the Lord, your God,
the Holy one of Israel, your
Savior;
I give Egypt for ransom,
Cush and seba in your stead.
4.) Since you are precious and
honored in my sight,
and because I love you,
I will give men in exchange for
your life.
5.)Do not be afraid for I am with
you;

The Lord Is MY Shepherd
I dedicate this popular Psalm to the Grandmother I wish I met.
Psalm 23 (NKJV)
A Psalm of David.
1) The LORD is my shepherd;
2) He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3) He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD
Forever.

To all my brothers and sisters out there, if you have a love one that you are estranged from or have not heard from in a long time, please give them a call before it is too late. God Bless.

Poem of Love
To love someone and have that person reciprocate that is a wonderous gift. There are different types of "love" relationships. There is a love between friends. There is a love between siblings. There is a love between families and finally the love between a husband and a wife. I am posting this poem, one of my favorites,written by Anne Bradstreet "To My Dear and Loveing Husband" to demonstrate the latter. The reason why this poem touches me is because the wife that is expressing her love, does so in the flesh and in the spirit. As Christians it is important to know that love is not only physical, but spiritual and God must be in the center of that love and passion in order for it to survive. Enjoy this poem and share it with the one you love. God Bless.
To My Dear and Loving Husband
If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were lov'd by wife, then thee.
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole Mines of gold
Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that Rivers cAnneot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee give recompetence.
Thy love is such I can no way repay.
The heavens reward thee manifold, I pray.
Then while we live, in love let's so persever
That when we live no more, we may live ever.

I Look To You
Hello Brothers and Sisters I pray that your week as began well and will continue to go well. The song I am posting is I Look To You by Whitney Houston. When I heard this song the scripture that came to mind was ...
"I Lift up my eyes to the mountains--
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth"
Psalm 121: 1-2 (NIV)
When you are faced against a wall and are left alone to climb it, just look to God and let him throw you a ladder. The maker of heaven and earth can do anything and knock down any wall, just simply look to him. God Bless my Brothers and Sisters.

I Give Myself Away
As a Christian we have to allow God to take us in the direction that he wants us to go.Our lives are not our own, but God's. Wherever He wants us to go we must be willing. What ever he wishes us to do we must complete. When God called Moses to go to Egypt he gave many excuses why he couldn't do the task, but when he answered God's call look at the amazing signs and wonders God used him to accomplish. When Jeremiah was called by God he claimed that he was too young and God stated that he knew him before he was formed in his mother's womb. There are many more examples in scripture of disciples who God called but were relunctant. Please my brothers and sisters do not be a Jonah, but simply give yourself away. Enjoy this praise song by William McDowell I Give Myself Away. God Bless.

Verse of The Day
"Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord."
Psalm 27:14 (NIV)
I am not a very patient individual. If you tell me to meet you at a certain appointed time I expect you to be there ahead me, waiting. In verse the second like encourages believers to be "strong and take heart" and I believe the reason for that line is that often times God can require a marathon of waiting. If we do not remain strong and tell our hearts that it is worth it, we may loose many precious gifts that God has in store. Lord give me patience to wait, even if it is a marathon, on your will. God Bless.

Verse of The Day
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me
even then will I be confident"
Psalm 27:3 (NIV)
The Psalmist I interpret, means that though there are people out there in the world that surrounds your life with troubles, God is still there. Even still, if those surrounding enemies cross the boundaries and attack you, God is still there. In this world, war is inevitable, but God is the weapon that we must count on to defend us. Be confident in that defender. God bless.

A New Years Wish
I know this is the time of New Years Resolutions. Well, I have one resolution that I will explain by citing a verse of scripture.
" One thing I ask of the Lord,
this is what I seek
that I may dwell in the house of
the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple"
Psalm 27:4 (NIV)
I pray this year and many more that the Lord wishes to give me, that I remain in His house and always see His beauty in my life. God Bless.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
God Bless Everyone!!! This is a New Year! Let's use it to get closer to God.
Let the Lord take this year and change your darkness in to light; meaning whatever hardships that you went through and are going through, use the experiences as a tool to advance in the Kingdom of God. Every brother's or sister's testimony can encourage,touch and draw many souls to Christ.
Thus, turning the darkness into light. God Bless.
