Sunday School Topic for July 15, 2012 (continued from last week)


Title:  How can one fully enjoy the goodness of God?


Text to read: Psalms 37: 5-7 ( read the whole Psalm  as well)

⁵ Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

⁶ And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

⁷ Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.  (KJV)

Brief Explanation:  To Commit ourselves to the Lord means entrusting  everything: our lives, families, jobs and possessions to His control and guidance. To commit ourselves to the Lord means to trust in Him, believing that he can care for us better than we can care for ourselves. We should be willing to wait patiently for him to work out what is best for us. (please meditate on this explanation and come with questions).
