Sunday School Topic: The Kingdom of God
For August 12, 2012



Scripture to read: Matthew 6:33  ( please the the whole chapter  as well )


33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.(NIV)


33 Cherchez premièrement le royaume et la justice de Dieu; et toutes ces choses vous seront données par-dessus. ((Louis Segond)

Brief Explanantion: 

He doesn't say-- seek for the Kingdom-- which is what Jesus would have said if He was addressing this command to unbelievers. Seek for it to get into it was not what  He was saying. He was speaking to those who are Kingdom Citizens, to make the interest of God's Kingdom their priority. (Please meditate on the scripture and the explanation and come with questions and coments )

  • Are you a kingdon citizen?
  • Is God's Kingdom your priority?
  • In the other words are seeking the kingdom?
  • What are your ways of seeking the Kingdom of God?

    I think that the main way to seek Gods kingdom is through his guidance, so my way of seeking the kingdom of God is through prayer.

    I totally agree with you Sarah. The only way to seek God's Kingdom is to seek God and the best way to seek God is through prayer.

    I Want to be a King Citizen and through prayer I hope to be certain of that. His kingdom is priority to me, but the things that would direct me to His kingdom I often times do not make my priority. The was that I seek the Kingdom of God is through prayer, reading the bible, and rejoicing in christian music.

    Life is not easy ,in the Church Of God you will have three kind of people :Those who came to look at thing,or to observe,Those you want something from God ,and those who need God and HIS Kingdom ,but they all in Church ,you cannot know whom come looking for something from God and whom come for the Kingdom of God,i pray God,when i ask for forgiveness,i can feel when HE forgive me , AM I A CITIZEN OF GOD'S KINGDOM ? for sure ,only God can say that ,only Him know who's really a good Citizen of his KINGDOM,I know what I have to do ,to be a citizen of God, but only God can tell me,if i'm really a good citizen of HIS Kingdom.
