The Chosen, by Chaim Potok has greatly enlightened me a little, on the diversity of the Jewish community.I knew there were differences just as there are in other cultures, however I did not fully realize the degree in the differences existed. The faith that they both practice divides them in how they acturally pratice it.
The relationship between the two main characters was very interesting. They are both from different sects and yet they both decide to acknowledge their differences and move pass it. They friendship exists because they chose not to dwell on what seperates them, but what binds them; their friendship.
